Chiral or achiral ? Acetone Cyanohydrin

Acetone cyanohydrin is not chiral. Turning the molecule produces the same structure as reflecting the structure in a mirror. This demonstrates the lack of chirality.

Next page two cyanohydrins.

A molecule is achiral if it has a mirror plane and is superimposable on its mirror image.
