Caesium Peroxide Cs2O2

Cs2O2 is formed by the reaction of Cs metal with oxygen, giving Caesium Peroxide, which contains the peroxide ion (O22-.) The normal oxide of Cs (Cs2O) is obtained by the decomposition of the peroxide.
